What Is Average Age Of Fish (Platys ) From Lfs?

Hi All,
 
im looking to buy a couple more platys from LFS what is the average age at which they sell these fish??
 
I have been taking care of some fry which are now 8 weeks old. need to add a couple more females but wondering would the ones at the shop be the same age?/

Unless your fry grew really fast, I wouldnt mix them yet with adult platy.  I put my endler fry that was about 2.5 months old or so in with the rest of my fish and one was eaten, and the rest almost were but got away in time

I have Platy fry that are about a month old at most, and they survive with a Dwarf Gourami.

Normally livebearers live around 2-4 years.

Corries won't mess with Molly fry...............depends what kind of Plecos

I have a female BN Pleco that's a beast.  She chases the Corries regularly and even the huge Bolivian Ram male from time to time.
