Title says it all. At what point is a tank considered mature/established?

I'd say when the tanks been set up for a minimum of 3 months with no problems, ie. water quality is good, filter is being changed constantly, fish aren't dying, etc.

But that's just me personally.

Thanks.
I've been thinking of switching my 10-gallon tank over to an all cory tank, but we had an ammonia spike and all of the cories died, so I don't know if it's safe. I'm fairly certain it's because my filter picks up nothing and I can't gravel vac through all that driftwood and plants - platies are too much trouble than their worth.

Most people consider a tank "established" when its completely finished cycling, while most people consider a tank "mature" when its been running for about 6months with no problems. At least thats how i have always understood it.
