Here we go, another waste of your time... :)

Some of you might know that i have set up a nice looking Tank in black... well it has been spoiled by what I can only describe as 'Gloop'

The 'Gloop' in question is a white substance that looks a little like fungal roots up close. it is very fragile and breaks easily but bonds things together like there is no tomorrow.

I will upload a pic in a moment, you probably won't notice much in the pic because I've just done a W/C and sucked most of it up.

ANY HELP AT ALL appreciated before the white menace takes over my tank...

Here is a nice picture of my 'Gloop'

Could be slime mould. Does it spring up in colonies on gravel, decor and glass?

Looks and sounds like slime mould.
It's harmless to the fish, just unsightly.
It normally dies off after a few days and springs up somewhere else.
It feeds on decaying organic matter so extra deep gravel cleans and cut right back on feeding.

ok thanks for that... had been wondering why it was a carpet somedays and almost none the next day
