Fish Crazy
I was bored this bankholiday weekend so i thought id make some racking for my ever increasing betta collection
first bought 13 planks of 68mm x 36 mm x 2400mm planks and cut them to the size that i wanted -
then made up two sides -using 3 inch deck screws ( these are stainless and dont rust)
then i screwed two cross members and joined each side again using butt joints and deck screws -
and ta da one completed rack -
i put a shelf in to keep all my food and betta spa and bits and bobs to keep it out of the way and keep it tidy
i also added a hook to hang my nets on - im forever putting them down and losing them LOL
I then made a second rack doing exactly the same but i made this one longer to accomodate more tanks
i then screwed the two frames together and ta da the finished racking ( well almost)
i then used 10 mm thick chipboard to go across the joints - ( testing my handy work with a couple of small tanks LOL)
almost done now looks a bit untidy but it was getting late and needed to get filters up and running so here is the first test- i need to tidy up the air lines for the filters and tidy the cables for the heaters which im doing tonight i will take a few more pics on my digital camera -
hope you all like - let me know - i know this should be in the diy section but its for my bettas.
