What Have You Done With Your Tank Today

thought it would be good to have a thread for people to say what they've done with their tanks each day - i.e maintenance, new additions etc

I did a water change, pruned the plants & added three new fish

i added my heater which came through the post, did a water change and tried my new API test kit

Fed the fish today, nothing new but going to do a water change tomorrow, and add the vacation feeders on monday because we are going out of town

Not much. Feeding, counting fry (somewhere between 7 and 10 cherry barbs). Admiring the view.

Added a little more ammonia to help with the cycle although the filter was only not in use for a week before i bought the tank so a lot of the bacteria could possibly be in tact

Hey maybe be careful with the vacation feeders? because I used one and when I got back my fish was dead. Idk, I have heard they put a lot of ammonia in the water. Just warning from experience, I'm not an expert!

Thank you, Im going to have someone come check the fish in the middle of the week, to see how they are doing. Have you ever used one for a betta?

No, sorry. it was for a goldfish in a small tank, so I expect the water conditions weren't great to start off with!
