If it were me i would go for a Pearl Gourami everytime, the most beautiful peaceful gourami in my opinion. If its a centre piece your after then i suggest them as they get a little bit bigger than the rest but are so peaceful and graceful. Healthy ones, especially males get a really nice reddish colour through them and look terrific against a heavily planted aquarium. They do prefer slow water flow though so might be worthwhile remembering (if you didn't already know that is).
