What Gourami

Hi Tom

It would depend on what other fish you have, but a tank that size would be suitable for most Gourami's. When you say 6 Angles, do you mean a Hex tank? Did you have a particular Gourami in mind?

no its a standard rectangular one.

the other fish will be corys, rams plecos and probably a schooling fish

i dont know much about gouramis, do they all get a similar size, apart from honey and dwarf etc

i would want to get about 4

I don't have any Cichlids in my tank, and my experience is with Gold Gourami's and Honeys. I have 2 female Goldies, and they are stunning and very peaceful. I have 3 honeys, and the oldest male has started to build a bubble nest, and he is quite "defensive" about his territory, but not in any way that is detrimental to the other fish. My tank is a peaceful community tank, and everyone gets on. I had thought about getting a male Goldie, but after reading up found they can be quite aggressive, and being that much larger then Honey's, I did not want to risk upsetting the balance.

I really love Gourami's, they are amazing fish, I do have a BN Pleco, Corys, Otos, Cardinal Tetra's and Odessa Barbs with no problem at all. Hopefully someone can answer whether your Rams would be compatible  I would add that my Gold Gourami's are about 4 inches (10cm). maybe a little more. (I think getting towards maximum size). Hope this helps. Obviously there are many more Gourami types available. This is just my experience.

Hi Tom

I have just typed out the above post, and then suddenly thought, that maybe you meant Angel Fish. (if so, sorry for being so dumb)!! If so, my advice is probably not relevant, as I have never kept them, and really don't know what would be compatible.

cheers

well originally it was about angles but reading that i realised my rams could be a problem as well so that did help thanks
