hey guys was wondering what are some really nice fish that can live with discus???

thanks

Corries, angel's, apistogramma's ect.

Dont many corries need to be kept at a lower temp? I know some can fair the 80s but i remember reading a post about corries not being able to live at higher temps. If i find it ill quote it up here.

As for tank mates of discus, ill get back to you on that one

Found it and i must say this original post by nmonks really opened by eyes.

Conversely, you cannot keep things like neons, danios or Corydoras this warm. They will hate you for it! Neons and danios prefer fairly cool water, around 22 C (72 F) while Corydoras mostly do best under 25 C (77 F). If they're too warm they will have a shorter lifespan and will be more prone to disease.

Angels are a good choice but some very large precautions need to be taken before introducing angels to a discus tank, there are some dieses that angels are immune to and can become carriers of these dieses, very dangerous for discus. As well angels are known to occasionaly carry worms. While again harmless/or so seems to the angel there are very bad for the discus.

I have heard of people stocking cardinal tetras with discus. Not sure though. Sorry i can't be of more help. Maybe try changing the name of your thread and getting it moved to the 'New Worlds Cichlids' area, where the more knowledgeable might spot it!

Good luck and i hope i might have helped

hatchet fish might be ok

if you're keeping discus, your water quality must be really good. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS!! :hyper:

lol if i were you, and depending on the size of the tank, id definatly get a pair of rams or 2, some ottos and some expensive corydoras (such as adolfoi or sterbai).

anything big or anything that swims around like a mad man, like pictus cats or black ghost knifes, may stress out your discus which im sure you wouldn't want lol

pink.
