I have a large tank which has guppies in - mostly babies which i am going to sell/give to LFS. The other 3 adult males are going in a smaller tank - so i was hoping to restock the big tank.

Here is the list of fish i like:
neon tetra / cardinal
rummy nose tetra (had quite a few of these a few months ago)
tiger barbs (my sister has these, such lively fish)
black ghost knife fish (my cousin has this, its quite pretty and DIFFERENT)
clown loach (only loach i would consider, but they are also a bit different)

maybe some larger fish..

angelfish
german blue rams ( got 2 of these in a different tank)

pick and choose suitable fish from these lists please, i dont want any much conflict :P

Hi Hawkins, what volume/dimensions is the tank in question
One thing i have learnt from working in a LFS is that saying 'Large tank' means nothing really, this can range from 2foot upwards?

anyway onto the fish

neon tetra / cardinal cardinals are usually hardier,
rummy nose tetra (had quite a few of these a few months ago) very nice in larger shoals, can be quite picky of water quality
tiger barbs (my sister has these, such lively fish) must be kept with other hardy species that don't have long or flowing finnage as these will get shredded
black ghost knife fish (my cousin has this, its quite pretty and DIFFERENT) This is what i mean about "large tank", as these get to 18inches + your looking at at least a 4x2x2
clown loach (only loach i would consider, but they are also a bit different) need to be kept in a group, bare minimum of 3 and again get to between 8 to 13inches so a min tank size of 4x2x2 is needed eventually.

maybe some larger fish..

angelfish will usually pick of smaller fish like neons when fully grown as this is the natural predator/prey combination in the wild.
german blue rams ( got 2 of these in a different tank)
peaceful dwarf cichlids can be kept with even the smallest neons safely

have you considered some harlequin rasboras these are lovely fish
the Angels can get very aggresive i homes some congo tetras , harlquin rasboras and swordtails from a tank with angels in
Both males tetras were blind , the rasboras have deep scars in them and the swordtails fins were shredded - this was caused by the angel

I also got 1 WC minnow from that tank that was the remaining survivor
