What Fish Is This?

my bf has this fish in his 75 gallon tank and we are trying to figure out what kind of fish it is to get it a friend.
its about 7-9 inches somewhere around there

its a flower horn. and its going to get bigger just so you know. they can be a little aggressive. they are part of the south American cichlid family. if you are looking for other things to keep with him, a male/female pair of parrots might be nice, or a pair of jack dempseys. Plecos would also do well. get a nice royal or watermelon as commons tend to become too big.

I dont think its a Flower Horn Im pretty sure its a Chocolate Cichlid but could do to look at a side view

it wont get bigger hes had it for like 5 years

I don't think it is a chocolate cichlid, I googled it and they don't have the bump on the forehead like this guy does..... googled flowerhorn but haven't been able to find one with the same coloring.......

I agree with this. Below is a photo of the chocolate cichlid. The flowerhorn has a much more pronounced bump than this and the one in the photo.

that's it! thanks how come none of the results on google showed the bump when I searched 'chocolate cichlid'
