hi again guys

When i purchased my tank (110 litre) i was sold 2 common plecs, 1 clown loach, 10 neon tetra and a betta fish

Since i have researched alot and im now re-homing my plecs and clown loach (just waiting for my ich to clear up with med)

Had my heart set on 2 x german blue ram. Im after a selection of really colourful fish and some individuals with personalities. (betta already comes to the front of the tank as i approach ;-))

possibly gonna get 5 zebra danios also

Just looking for some suggestions really

Defo some Cichlids, a small Pleco, what Tetras have you got?

Agassiz's Cichlid-Apistogramma agassizi
Cockatoo Cichlid-Apistogramma cacatoides
Viejita's Cichlid-Apistogramma viejita
Panda Dwarf Cichlid-Apistogramma nijsseni
Borelli's Dwarf Cichlid-Apistogramma borellii

Your neons will nip your bettas fins. PUt your betta in his own 5 gallon or so tank. He will be much more happy. And Rams and Apistogramma are the way to go for dwarf Cichlids. Head on over to the south American Cichlid forum. :good:

1x betta
10x neon tetra
2x bolivian ram
1x bn plec (if you like them that is)
2x keyhole cichlid
6x corys or kuhli loach

I advise bolivian rams over blue rams as they're easier to keep (hardier) and also because your neons and other bottom dwellers (if you get them) won't appreciate the 28C temps. that blue rams prefer.

sound ok to me, although i would up the Neons to at least another 5

Don't want to be invasive, but will keyholes and rams work with the betta?

Yeh drop the Betta if you can didnt see that at first! lol

The rams will be fine with the betta and so should the keyholes.

I have mine in with neons and they ignore each other. It's really only a problem in smaller tanks like 10g or so where the fish can't avoid each other as much.

just about to say that betta will not fair well but was beat to it

ty, some of those fish look great :good:

ill monitor my betta with my tetra but so far they are leaving each other well alone
