Recently bought a Juwel Rio 180 with the standard internal filter. Anyone got an ebay link to the media I need? I reckon they consist of coarse blue, nitrate green, carbon black, wool white. Thanks in advance

edit: it's ok. I've found it. How did we cope before the tinternet?

You can get them on amazon uk.
You don't need to follow juwel instructions concerning changing the media religiously. If me, i would take the carbon sponge out unless you want to remove meds or tannins. Also the green nitrate sponge as your water changes removes nitrates. Replace it with the fine blue bacterial sponge to hold more bacteria.
The white filter needs replaced every couple of weeks. You can buy roles of filter floss by the meters which is cheaper. The other sponges shouldn't be replaced until they are falling apart. Just give them a gentle swish in a bucket of tank water if you notice the flow reducing.

You don't need to change the sponges every few months like Juwel recommend, they will last for years, replace them only when they start to disintegrate.
