Afternoon all.

After the quite miraculous increase in plant growth from a dose of tetra ferts i bought on a whim, what would you folks recomend as a regular dosing fert.

That tetra stuff would cost a fortune to use regular, i'm assuming there is something more concentrated like using seachem instead of tapsafe.

My set up is not flash or high tec, there is some hydrocortyl, and cabomba with some other plants i have never properly identified. The greenery has established its self nicely in the tank and does appear to have reached a balance with the fish as the water perameters are super stable.

Have a bit of hair algae and a touch of bb stuff but its only a tiny bit and adds to the character of the tank i think, it is a living thing after all.

This is my favorite view, end on...

So, recomendations?

Blimey Jason... That has come on leaps and bounds mate.

I have had success with Green Low from eBay... People are probably fed up of me saying that though now

Yeah i love it, deliberately mess with it as little as possible. Feed the fish every other day with a varied diet which has reduced the fish poo to next to nothing.

Got the lighting sorted and the BN rarely actually goes after food as there is algae in the tank. Likes a piece of potatoe from time to time, won't leave it alone though so i only do it as a treat.

Trimmed and ten replanted the cuttings from both the hydrocortyle and the cabomba, the cabomba has broken the surface now and starting to matt. I was going to trim it back but the columbians love it as they aren't fond of light TBH, not too keen on big waterflow either.

Going to replace the cories that were lost before Christmas and possible increace the collumbians to 10 or 12. Think the tank will be full then.

I'll get myself some of those ferts, see how they do.

(said quietly) I even have a red plant doing really well :good: Has bi colour leaves green on top red underneath.

Nope, don't know what it it but its twice the size it was a month ago.

Lovely shot of some of my hair algae too, god that stuffs strong, suprised Ray Mears or Bear Grills hasn't used it for something. Also the effect of my one and only snail who is also doing well.
