What Else Can I Feed My Fish

You can get different kinds of flake/pellet food for them, they'd also appreciate the occasional blood worm/daphnia/brine shrimp. Not too sure how they'd like veggies but you could always add zucchini (courgette), cucumber, peas (cook/cool/deshell) or leaf lettuce and see if they'll eat any of it. :good:

pleco love cucumber so get on ebay and buy a 'screwcumber' and give him some of that and some catfish pellets make sure you crush the flake up well for the neons but they also like micro pellets and take u mean angel lol give them some frozen bloodworm every now and then

peas (cook/cool/deshell)

i thought i remember reading they just have to be thawed if frozen then just use the mushy inside? just asking cuz i dont want to be feeding something my fish cant handle

You may be right, it's not something I've fed often and was always told to cook it first. As long as it's mushy I don't see a problem. :good:

do i just cut a section of the cucumber n drop it in of have i got to cook it first. ive got some blood worm pellets now so will give them a go too

Its important to feed frozen live foods such as bloodworm, glassworm, brine shrimp etc a couple of times a week as it will keep your fish healthy and fit. Mine are partial to eathworm pellets whcih you can buy on ebay.

For your plec also courgette which doesnt have to be cooked - I just slice a piece and put it in my plec loves it! She also loves cucumber & watermelon - just drop them in fixed to a screwcumber which keeps them fixed at the bottom. Also sweet potato (which I do soften for about 10 secs in the microwave as its a bit tough) and frozen peas - blanch for a few seconds then take the shell off and crumble them Be careful to crumble them small as the fish are greedy and will get large bits stuck!!

It will be trial and error as they are all different! Try everything - your fish will soon let you know if they like it!
