What Dose People Think Of This

i have a 120L tank at the min which is running with no fish in it and a friend of a friend is giving some fish away they r

5 silver dollas 4-5in
1 gourami-male
2 tiger barbs
1 common plec
1 RTS
1 harlequin tetra

will this be ok in the 120L tank till i have the money to buy a bigger one i think it might be to much any ideas

you will need to get a bigger tank really mate common pleavs get big mine is at 13" and still growing and the silver dollars get very skittish in smaller tanks they need quite big tanks to fell relaxed (so to speak) in

Do I have some information to tell you! No, it is not okay, did a LFS tell you this would be fine for stocking?

Common plecs are too large for a 32 USG tank
Tetras need to be in a school of 6 or more
Red Tailed sharks are too large and agressive for this tank.
Tiger Barbs are agressive in smaller numbers, in a number of 6-8 they should be fine.
What type of gourami?

Sorry to say i have to agree with what has been said, the fish arn't a good mix and most will outgrow the tank with the common plec easily reaching 18inches.

i they will out grow the tank this is just to hold them for may about 2 or 3 month at the most the looking 250l for the sliver dollars and getin more tiger barbs and things in the 120L

A common plec will out grow a 250.

Moving the silver dollars will not mean you can have more fish as you will still have the shark and others to deal with.

120 isnt anywhere near large enough for several of those fish, im sorry

As for which fish you can take i'd like to know what type of gourami it is, some specise such as dwarfs and honey's would be no problem in your tank but others like giants and three spots would be too large.

Hmmm could you serch google and find a pic that looks like it? Then we would know what specise it is and can work from their, IMO i think the gourami is the only real candidate for adoption as the others are either very large skittish or become agressive in smaller tanks although i'm not sure about the harlequin tetra and i'm sure it will need to be in a group so i will look it up and get back to you on that.
