What does this do? It came with my filter.

Not to sure but it look like an airstone you add to the filter as you can turn it up and down with the nozzle thing.
 
That nozzle at the end of the tube see if you can turn it.
Also what filter make is it.
 
The filter make is aquarline 2. Turning it has no effect.

Also it seems to attach to the top of my filter.(the tube not the nozzle.)
 
i think the tube and nozzle is to draw air when the filter is submerged but i could be wrong
 
It's like a fluval venturi system by the look of it. It allows you to have the filter draw air from above the water level with the attatchment and this will result in a jet of bubbles being pushed through the output. There is a twist attachment to allow you to decide how much air you want flowing through.

Thanks, so i just attach it to the filter and then put the nozzle out of the water?
 
Glad someone got to the bottom of it, yes and that nozzle thing you should be able to turn the flow up and down with it.
