What Does A "species Only Tank" Mean?

Does it mean that you can only have that kind of fish in a tank and no other kinds?

Or does it mean you can only have one of that kind of fish?

Or something else?
 
Your first guess was correct. With a species only tank, only one species should be kept to that tank. This usually refers to extremely aggressive/predatory fish that cannot coexist with other species in the same tank without problems occurring.
