so any suggests for plants etc. ?

:good:

Is it just me or is there an awful lot in that aquarium or is it just that large plants are at the front??

Bret

it's only a little tank, 12"x8"x8" so it's not really that full, but i want something to fill out the back left corner which you can't see is empty.

:good:

It looks really cramped in the pics. You would want as much free swimming space as possible.

there are no fish in there............. so who want s the swimming space?

:good:

Think you need plants with smaller and/or finer leaves, the massive ech/sword (hard to tell) on the right just makes the tank looked cramped IMO

Hi Mate,

Not bad, nice little setup you have there!

Like others have said it looks a little full. You posted a comment:

"there are no fish in there............. so who want s the swimming space?""

Interesting theory, although i think there is an aethetic impact of "nothing" that you are missing the point of. Like a negative focal point.

It is up to you how you stock your tank so people can only make suggestions and give constructive feedback, but i would also bump what others have said, as an improvement on the nice looking tank you have already created. Maybe try some smaller leaf plants and personally i am not a fan of moss balls full stop (is that what they are??) let alone in a tank so small.

the crypt bottom left is a nice plant, but with it being so far forward it is still large for the tank and thus can not see behind it therfore it is closing the tank in more. If you moved that back left corner it would open all the front of the tank up.

Just suggestions...its personal opinion and i think you have done a good job.

Regards

Chris

i actually think it is quite adorable, for a change. considering you have no fish in there, the larger plant may seem to make it more crowded at first, but if you didn't have it there, the tank would look awful empty. perhaps if you do decide to get fish, you could trim the plant down to one or two leaves, or else get something like a java fern or anacharis to increase "tank space"

overall, very cute :) i love what you've done with such a small tank!

thank you everyone, i think i may take a few leaves of the ech and move the crypt back like it was before.

as for fine leaved plants i did want to get some but couldn't find nice one's i liked in the lfs i will give in a re-arrange and post some more pics tomorrow.
