Watching fish.
Remember how I was so called "Torturing my fish"
Well, some better news.

First I thought my tank was 6, maybe 7 gallons.
Later on I kept to the theory of 8.5

Measured it last night, it's actually about 15 gallons.

I know I didn't do a perfect measure, but I know it's 50-60 litres, which is about 14-16 gallons.

Indeed shbukin and commons need 30 gallons initial and 20 gallons for every additional fish upto 100 gallons where you need 15 gallons for every additional fish. These are 12+" fish that live for 20+ years and they are very active normally so need a lot of swimming space and hex tanks aren't appropriate as they are tall rather then long. Get a heater and have some nice angel fish and get rid of the goldies.

I wouldn't say your torturing your fish, your simply not properly looking after living animals which are in your care.
A 15 gallon still doesn't nearly give your fish enough room to live thier lives healthily in.

Lots of people, including myself, have kept goldfish in even less appropriate tanks. The difference here is that you now know what you are doing isnt good for the fish.

I don't know if you have any plans for a ~30gal+ very soon, but if not, then be responsible and rehome the fish and get species that you have the ability to care for.

Otherwise, it will get to the point where you are "torturing" the fish.

i seriously wish your threads would get moved to the relevant section, goldfish do not count as tropical fish

50- 60 litres isnt anywhere near big enough, and you shouldnt be too surprised when passionate people tell you so, seems you are getting on some pips here with constant posts about them, but its a forum where everyone is free to post within the rules, but if you dont take the advice that is offered then i dont see the point :/

i had a goldfish in a 60L bowl for a long time, then i asked here and was told it wasnt the right thing to do - the fish sadly died, due to lack of proper care no doubt about that, but if he hadnt i would have had no hesitation in getting him a new tank of the right size

I think most of us have made errors where fishkeeping is concerned but it's how you go about fixing those errors once you are aware of them that makes the difference.
