What Do You Feed Your Fishies?

Currently the diet is Tropical Flakes, Freeze dried Bloodworms and also sprinkle of Goldfish flakes.

Of course not at the same time........I change each day but do drop in an algae disc each day..........(size of a small child's finger nail)

Just curious as I read in a book at the bookstore that you can add, cooked chicked breasts, vegetables etc.........

for the whole gang: a variety of flakes, TetraDelica jellied bloodworm, brineshrimp and daphnia, occasional live daphnia
for the livebearers and bristlenoses also: a variety of vegetables (peas, broccoli, spinach, broad beans, sprouts etc)
for the bristlenoses also: courgette, cucumberand algae wafers
for the corys also: catfish tablets
for the tico fry: crushed flakes and liquifry

i would also add fresh, roast, chicken to the above list. lol and dont forget to skin the peas, or you will be picking skins out your filter forever!

well you need to be careful if any chicken get left uneaten, it will mess with your water big time. i sort the oil on the top with a kitchen towel, though there are some diy surface skimmers about.
 
so do u cook the chicken or leave it raw?

im only thinking raw cuz when fish eat the other dead fish they aint cooked etc
 
I'd go easy on the chicken, most fish aren't really equipped to handle animal fats, even from meat that is lean by our standards. In recent years it has been discovered that beefheart, which used to be considered an excellent source of protein for cichlids, can actually lead to all sorts of health problems. Several of your fish are more towards the herbivore side, anyway, though a bit of bloodworm or daphnia won't do them any harm.
