I think freeze dried food is to be avoided?

We feed our Betta pellets.

Freeze dried is not the best for bettas it can cause problems. Mine get peas, betta pellets, frozen bloodworm and brineshrimp, daphnia and live foods as treats

mine get Jbl Nova betta and frozen bloodworm or daphnia

could you try and distract the rainbows by putting food down one end of the tank and his food at the other end? thats what i do with my angels lol so other things can get food!

you could also try getting teh flakes to sink by holding them them under the surface...

any links to betta pellets as it ignores the catfish ones i have

well i thought the freeze dried worm was better than the flake tbh i have some normal floating pellets actually that the rainbows cant swallow and just spit them out

I get atisons betta pelletts off ebay - £5 delivered as nowhere around here has them

I treat with bloodworm (frozen cant abide fresh), live brine and daphnia and pea

I fed my sherbertie normal tropical flake food cos that was what he was fed on in lfs, just got hold of hikari betta pellets/biogold and i have freeze dried bloodworms and frozen ones in freezer.
Yep hikari betta pellets, www.vetuk.co.uk sell them for £1 something and they have tons of different bits, maidenhead aquatics if you can get in is a good place. Will find exact link for you.

I have used vetuk.co.uk for ages and find that they are brilliant, going to get some kaogel and hibiscrub for the dogs lol something for everyone :D

EDIT: Link below £1.09 for 2g, lasts for absolutely ages.
