What Do You Do With Your Dead Fishes?

i wrap my fish in paper towel and bury them in my 'fish cemetery', which is jush bricks over the hole that i bury them in and i write their names on the bricks and the day they died with permanent marker... i was devastated when my first fish died.. crying my eyes out like as blocked toilet.

I usually flush em, although if my beloved oscar died I'd bury him.

depends on the size, small fish then i leave in the tank for others to chow down on, large fish go in the bin.

Haven't had to deal with this situation yet in almost 10 years as the only deaths have been returned to the LFS and replaced.

Maybe because I had a marine tank and bodies disappear fast in them.

when ours die they get wrapped in lots of tissue and tied in a nappy bag, then go in the general waste bin. our big plec was 10" and required a carrier bag instead - i wanted to bury him but it was raining and dark and i didnt want to have to look at him anymore :(

I feed em to my cats, and let them bury the result.
not too keen on "flushing" them.
though to be honest, i cant think of a good reason why not to.
water, from the loo, should go nowhere near a river, till its safe.
well in the UK anyway.

every, bacteria, virus, antibiotic and all they nasty stuff we excrete, goes straight to the sewage farm.
they are robust enough to cope.

toilet or let the fish eat them

i dont worry about the local river, my dad introduced american crayfish into the river as he couldnt be arsed driving upto a loch in scotland to catch them, little did he know they would take over the river and kill / eat everything haha

I take mine out and lay them next to an apple tree. I live near so many wild animals that they're always gone by the next day
