What Do These Readings Mean?

It was a tight squeeze to fit some of the media in.. but its in!
When i come to put the filter media back in the new tank will the difference in temperature of the water affect the bacteria?

Kitty Kat wonders why there would be a difference in temperature if both tanks (will) hold tropical creatures.

Because my nano tank is at 23c and my other tank is at 27c.. I was just wondering if the difference in temperature would affect the bacteria.

Not enough difference to affect bacteria.. when you said difference, I automatically thought you mean a heated and an unheated tank. Also you can raise the temperature of the new tank to match the old one, then drop it over a few days when you actually move the sponges over.

I think (but could be confused by now! lol) that she has moved the newly seeded filter back to the original community tank temporarily so that it gets an ammonia source from the fish stock there. Then when ammonia is found, she will dose the new tank and begin a fishless cycle by moving the filter back over there. She'll want to raise the temperature of the fishlessly cycling tank to 29F/84C to optimize the "bacterial growing soup!"

~~waterdrop~~ :D
