I have some small floating plants that are multipling like crazy in my 10 gal. They are about 1/2 the size of a pencil eraser with abvout three little green leaves. They all have about a 1" little very thin tail or single root goin straight down. I started with a couple somehow and then in a couple weeks the whole top of the tank was covered. I took my net and scooped out almost all of them (as many as I could anyway). What are they and how do I get rid of them? Thanks

I think what you have is Duckweed. Goldfish have duckweed but that isn't a suitable fish for a 10 gallon. The only thing I can think is just try to remove as much as you can and do maintenance on it. You could also try lowering the wattage on your lights, that maybe have something to do with it growing like crazy. Good luck.
