I also got socks! Two pairs, in fact. One were soft and fuzzy with candy cane stripes, and the others have comedy/tragedy masks with the bottoms matching up to say “warning: may randomly burst out in showtunes”. My family knows me far to well

I got a nice sweater. Also a few books, a deer call, a kit of mini-tools for detail modeling and wood work, a model tea clipper, and a few other doodads. But my best present was the way my daughter got so much more excited watching us open the gifts she got us than she did about opening her own gifts. We are blessed with a very kind-hearted kid. That makes me happy.

Oh, and the fish got some frozen brine shrimp.
