I'm trying really hard to act normal
Against my better judgement, I added two Apistogrammas (not sure what types though) to my 65 gallon tank. Currently there's a krib, a few mollies, platys, danios, cories, and small gouramis in the tank.
The first Apisto. was in a tank labels "Assorted Apistos.". He has the black stripe over his eyes like a blue german ram, the pattern of a checkered dawrf cichlid, but has a pretty slender body. Could a ram cross breed with an apisto. (is it an apisto.?) His coloring is pretty bland, except for a fw fleck of orange and yellow on his fins. Any idea what his background could be? I'm sure it would be hard since he's a mutt.
The second one is suppose to be a type of ram (the lady didn't know what kind)
so, of course I got one. He seemed just a drab dark brown, but when I got him in my tank, I noticed he has a nice blue undertone. His head looked more like a head of a sun spot brevis, and has a more narrow body than a ram. Any idea what he is?
Neither one had bother the other fish, but they tend to chase each other occasionally. What do I consider normal cichlid behavior, and when should I be concerned?
