What Cichlid Can I Put With My Barbs?

I have a 29 Gallon tank with 8 Tiger Barbs, 1 Rainbow Shark & 1 Rubber Lip Pleco. I assume I can't put any Africans in there (though I would love a yellow lab), but what cichlids would be ok? I'd probably do a pair and would like maybe 4" longish (nothing huge but a respectable size). Kribs seem a front-runner here and I've heard Jewel & Firemouths arent too bad. What say you guys?

BTW, my Ph is around 6.6 so that might be a problem for some fish.

i would for sure go with a kribensis...they grow to the size you want and they are generally peaceful, the TBs will for sure be able to hold their own

Yeah, Kribs would be a good addition. Keyholes would be ok as well.

i went for kribs myself. you could also do firemouths but i believe they need sand
