I'm a bit worried about my big tank. I sold the min occupant of that tank last week a 18 inch Clarias and have since introduced a 8 inch clown knife yesterday which within a couple of hours looked bad ie cloudy eys listlessness however I had just brought him in on a 2.5 hour jouney. I moved him into a smaller tank with a young fire eel in and he seems a bit better, I did a water change on the big tank a couple of days ago and when catfish was in there there were weekly changes of about 10-15 per cent

I went to LFS today and they gave me 4 5-6 inch tinfoils as theyhad no where for them and again within a couple of hours they look really rough with cloudy eyes and less shiny silver body. I've just changed another 5 gallons with water drawn yesterday to see if I can dilute any badness in the water

I suspect this is bad qater quality in my big tank but without a water change would this indicate built up pollutants from the catfish?

If so I realise I should have left it empty for a bit after catfish but he seeme fine ( or just tolerant)!

I'm not sure whether to leave it or to change more water

ones died which I'm gutted about as they are lovely looking tinfoils.

th other three are a bit livelier now I've changed a bit of water but there eyes look rough. all white and as if they will fall off!!!
