Crowntail for sure and it is how his fins have slits in them I can tell that he is bigger then mine slightly and that he is looking at you for something
Very nice chap you got there, he is indeed a crowntail (CT) this refers to the shape of his fins Hard to tell the age unless you got direct from a breeder, his webbing looks good
Aw thanks, My LFS had 10 in today and he was the only one with red fins, which i wanted, he seems happier than the bowl they kept him in....
Hides behind the filter, but i guess he has to get used to the new tank and that before he is confident
how strong is the filter? bettas don't like strong currents, if it blows him about a bit try pointing it towards the glass store bettas are usually around 9-12 months old
I have a fluval U2, i keep it on the middle setting which is like a gentle current, allegadely, earlier he seemed to enjoy swimming into the current funily
it does depend on the individual really, i have had some settle insantly some take upto 2 weeks oh and don't be too worried if he doesn't eat for a few days they tend to go off food after being moved, i had one wouldn't eat for 2 weeks
