Is there anything at my house a betta could eat? I feed my betta hikari pellets, frozen bloodworms, and brine shrimp, but was wondering if there is anything I eat that my betta can also enjoy as a treat.

You can give a little cooked and de-shelled pea once a week....it's very good for their digestive system :good:

i used to give livingston little bits of chicken. however none of my new fish have enjoyed such a treat.

using freshly squashed garlic and adding a bit of the juices to their pellets is good for them too :)

i have given some of my other fish cucumber.. they really liked it :)

i havent tried it with bettas, but im sure they would like it too.

I tried the de-shelled pea. I removed the shell and mashed the pea up good (plain). I dropped a piece in the water and the betta gobbled it up! I dont eat peas too often but when I do that will be a treat for her.

Just curious, but would canned beans (the ones in the brown sauce washed) or rice krispies (softened) be edible?
