Hi, i already have 3 tanks set up with guppies and Mollys (one tank with fry, one with females and another tank with males), today i bought a 75ltr tank, it is set up and will be cycled before adding fish. My daughter wanted to use marbles instead of gravel (so i know this may rule out some fish). What can we put in it? would like something different but also be able to use it if my fry tank is full (for older fry) if we have too. Any ideas? (no tetra's though).

I have now replaced the marbles with sand (a few marbles chucked in t make my daughter happy), we are thinking cory's and a female Betta. Would there be room for anything else?

If your going with a Betta, I wouldn't recommend mixing it with anything else (except the cory's which should be fine).
Reason being is because a majority of fish will likely nip on Betta's fantastic fins destroying its beauty.

A 75 liter leaves you with quite a lot of options.

You could try getting a breeding pair of convicts (your daughter would really enjoy them). They get to about 6" and a pair will breed very easily. They would have to be the ONLY fish in the tank but they are very interesting to watch.

If you want more of a community tank, you could get a couple Bolivian Rams, mixed with a few other community fish of your choice (tetras, platy's, etc...)

If you get 5-6 tetras or platy's along with a pair of bolivian rams, this could be a nice setup. Maybe even add a 3-4 cory's.

I wouldnt get Convicts. They breed very rapidly and younwould endup with so much fry, you would have to euthanize some. Not too many stores take convicts causevthey have too many, or they dont want them.

GET GERMAN BLUE RAMS OR BOLIVIAN RAMS THE ARE AMAZING AND ARE SMALL AND PASSIVE FOR CICHLIDS lol
alo they are compatible with corys which are just about my favorite fish ever

Thank you, we have gone for a female Betta and 4 danios. Have also resereved a male Betta to go in my small tank (on its own), he's the most stunning betta i have ever seen, luckily the shop said they would hold him for me until the weekend so i can change the gravel in my small tank (white graval was a bad idea so will change it), have moved my female guppies out of the small tank so male betta can go in. He's electric blue, my daughter will love him :good:, would still love some corys but the shops dont seem to have many in stock.
