i was told that they are realy nice fish for the brackish tank so i decided (as i have had a tank since xmas with
nothing in it) to get 2 bumble bee gobies. i bought some dafnia and some paste food
but what elce do they eat because the paste food is realy messy and makes a mess of my sand
thanks

bumblebee gobies will only usually eat live or frozen food, so they'll like the daphnia, perhaps get some bloodworm or something too sometime. Frozen is a very good easy alternative though and mine seem to like it.

thanks for the one person who replied il take that advice and go to buy some frozen blood worm.

When I've kept Bumble Bee Gobies before, they really seemed to enjoy very fine grains of mussel flesh. You can actually buy packs of very finely chopped mussels from Gamma Frozen Foods (distributed by Tropical Marine Centre). They also seemed to enjoy crumbled up New Era Herbivore flakes. From what I understand, though, Bumble Bee Gobies can be fussy eaters.

they can indeed be fussy eaters. im doing fine now on frozen bloodworm and dafnia for a treat.
thanks for the reply
