what can i add?

I have a 55 gal. tank. i used to have 4 otos, 2 angels (mates), 1 blue dwarf gourmais, 2 guppies and a red tailed black shark.

Now i have the RTB shark, 1 angel (other died from hole in head, treatment didn't help), 2 guppies and 1 oto (i have no idea what happened to the other otos i only found one body and believe me i searched the whole tank)

anyway i was wondering what else i could put in there. I really want something active. the fish that i currently have aren't very active there are times when you can look in the tank and think it's empty. and believe me a 55 is a sin not to enjoy.

i was also thinking about tetras but i'm still partial to the barbs.

The RTB shark is very docile.

i really like the colors and looks of the barbs can they go in the tank??
i would also be open to any other suggestions!

can people please write back soon i will probley take a trip to the local fish store tomorrow cause there is a really good sale on this week!!!!!!!

Some danios would be good from an active point of view and compatible.

Rainbowfish would also work.

Barbs would probably be ok if kept in sufficient numbers like 6 or more.

well i have enough room for 6 or more barbs however is it wise to add 6 at one time or sould i get 3 or so first and add more in about a week or so ??

hi i dont think that shark is a good idea because when i first started to choose my fish the first fish i saw were guppies i didnt really know much about fish then but now i do, but anyway after about a week of settling in for my guppies i went to go and buy more fish and i saw a rainbow shark i know its different to a red tailed one but i asked the shop owner if they are compatible with guppies and he said NO! the shark will eat them so i bought 6 tetras instead .
now my tank is fully up and running i got a 20 ukgal and i have......

2 guppies (males)
2 mollies (male and female)
2 tetras (male and female i think) the other 4 got caught in filter
3 albino cories (2 males 1 female) very cute lol
4 dwarf gouramis (not sure if male or female)
1 pleco 3inch (male)

and 28 guppy fry the mother died after having them
and oh yes 2 mystert fry i dont know where from they are a weird colour yellow and black.
the dwarf gouramis do fine with guppies but i dont know about the whole shark thing.

I'd add all the barbs together, otherwise they may show an interest in your other fish. 6 at once should be OK if you don't add any other fish at the same time.

Your RTBS will be fine. They are only a problem if you add the wrong fish.

Id put a few Boesmani rainbows in there. When showing all their colors their truly a beautiful site.
