What are these?

I found these on Big Al's Online and from my understanding, I guess you plant them in your substrate and they grow into plants? That sounds pretty easy, kinda like that instant wildflowers stuff you can put it your yard. I wonder if these would be a good thing to use to grow some plant coverage in my 55 gallon im getting?
