Guys,

Simple story... I have these Largemouth bass i got from a fish farm for 2 months. All of a sudden this fish stops eating and i spot these funny stuff on him. At first i thought these were Anchor Worms but as i checked more and more pictures online i thought maybe i am wrong.

A friend of mine told these were skin flukes but skin flukes are supposed to be invisible to naked eye. Please give me a hand.

A picture of the fish and possible parasites in question would be very beneficial since without it, there can only be random guesses and no true answers.

Goggy, i don't think this is a simple scale deformation. These things are something that don't belong to this fish. I can tell that.

Have you tried to remove any of them?   Definitely not something that I have ever seen and I don't think they are "normal" in any sense of the word.

Looks more likely to be something to do with the fish's natural slime coat (mucroprotein coating).

This is the natural defence as a barrier against diseases and infections.

So perhaps may be worth investigation slime coat diseases and what causes what looks like a slightly milky white coat.

Other than that I do not have any other ideas what this may be.

What ever they are can't you get a general skin fluke anti parasite treatment?

I think your first assumption that it is anchor worm is correct I have never owned a fish with this parasite but they are apparently common in fish that live in ponds.
