I saw them on a website and cant place them....kinda look like female bettas....

now looking at the fins they look like male and females,, could they be Mollies or Platys?

I *think* they're electric blue (balloon?) rams.

Actually, take out the 'balloon' part, they don't look deformed enough! (thankfully...)

what ever they are I like em

looks very close..saltwater though...eh?

Electric Blue Rams i would say. Renowned for being tricky and unforgiving to keep, although that does vary depending on who you ask, some people seem to have great luck while others, well..... not so much. Tend to be the kind of fish you want to build the tank around, ideally a biotope.Sensitive to nitrate so should be kept in pristine water.

They're electric blue rams.

They're a different colour morph to the normal German blue ram.

They are definitely not saltwater - you wouldn't see all those plants in there if they were.

On the first picture I was 100% sure they were electric blue rams however they don't look as plump as electric blues on the zoomed in pic.

Scrap that - google electric blue ram and that exact pic is number 4 in google images

Definitely Electric blues. Ianho the retired mod has a few in a tank, or at least he did last time I looked. Lovely fish.

I almost got these a while back, but ended up with German blue rams on the basis that my local MA wanted £35 a pair!

Definately electric blue rams, i've got a pair in my tank. Very nice fish and i've found them easy to keep! Had mine 3 months now with no problems

Not a fan of them... the are pretty but they are really quite weak in terms of health and immune problems...

£35 a pair is really reasonable if they are in good nick! Seen them in a few MAs at £25 each!!

I really like em, but I'm close to full now so it will have to wait......

Pic of one of mine! Surprised to see a few people say they're hard to care for/weak mine are happy in my community tank
