i have two guppies, katara and athena and theyve been pregnant for about two weeks. and i have a platy mickey, thats been pregnant for probably 3 weeks. im going to school next monday and i wanted to know the signs of them about to give birth. im going to buy a breeders net and i was thinking that if they havent given birth by the time i go to school i was going to put them in it when i went to school and take them out when i come home. but i heard moving them too much could cause them to lose the babies. heres some pics, i was wondering if anybody could tell from the pics. theyre foggy cuz i took them with my phone

theres a thread here hun

also, i think it will be recommended that you dont put them in a net or trap for long periods like that, but im sure someone will come along shortly and give an experienced answer ;)

oh there is? thank you! :)

i did have a molly, a dalmation molly. verry pretty, but it started to chase my guppies and platys around and even picked a fight with my angels, so hes now in my grandmas tank

The thread you got a reference to is a fairly good one for a platy person, but my own thread following a molly from drop to drop is also useful for a person trying to figure out the stage of a pregnancy rather than last minute signs of an impending drop. Each thread has its own strengths. You can reach mine using a link in my signature called My Molly's Progress.

oh yes its a good one too! veyr informative for 'throughout the pregnancy' (im sorry i should have linked yours too  )

No probs, I just didn't want you relying completely on a thread targeted at near term drops. 5teady and I have very different approaches to breeding livebearers.
