My fish swims in place and I read here that could be shimmies, and I dont know anything about it! Answers someone?

Shimmies is when a fish may sit on the bottom and swim violently in a wave from head to tail... This could be due to water conditions/parasites/disease.

What type of fish is it?
What size is your tank?

How long has your tank been setup?
What is your stocking like in the tank? (breeds, how many)
What are your water parameters?

:hi: to the forum!!! :fish: :fish:

Hi thanks for your reply,
Shes a molly, and she has 7 platty roomies, and one glowing tetra. The tank has been up and running for about 3 months. They have one live plant,an airstone, a six gallon eclipse tank and the water was checked by a pro at the fish store, and he concluded water was alittle high on nitrate, and nitrite, he advised a 50% water change, and to add some "cycle".
I did that, and added some biocoat. Temp: im unsure, I dont think this thermometer is right. It says 77. I think its alittle higher.
