What Are My Gbrs Doing?

Do you have somewhere you can put her if the bullying gets too bad, she could be extremely stressed by tommorrow. You can always try a divider of some description.

Great litle fish arent they? My pair used to lay their eggs all over the place despite me supplying flat slate rocks they never laid them there ! They even stuck them vertically on my fibreglass rock background!! Expect them all to disappear over the next few days as they will probably eat them.

Your boy's a bit of a player isn't he... lol.

 Apparently!

About 90% of the eggs are already gone. The good news is the bullying stopped along with it. I'm still re-homing at least the 1 female today until I can figure out which other female needs to go.

Arcadia make 36" 30w bulbs I believe Interpet do aswell.

Unfortunately, my hood has 2 18" bulbs! I'd like to get a couple 30W bulbs so that I'm at right about 1 WPG, but I have had the hardest time finding some! I actually just came across these two today. Would either of these be suitable? I thought Actinic lights were for saltwater aquariums. You basically have the exact setup I want plant wise (as far as lighting and # of plants go)!

URI Actinic White 18 inch 30w Lamp

URI Super Actinic R 18 inch 30w Lamp

Unfortunately both of those tubes are for marine applications, if you read the stuff below it does say for live rock and for reef applications. I would post a question in the planted section to see if someone can come up with something there.

Alternatively can you fit any more light tubes in your hood, this may be the only way, it was what I did when I had my last tank, I ran 4 15w tubes over a 29 gallon tall.

Don't forget to work out your watts per gallon using american gallons (they are smaller) so you have more gallons and need marginally less wattage to attain the 1wpg.
