hi all
i know this is the wrong section but not sure which section they go in, saw some fish today labeled as ice blue cichlids. now on searching goggle i can't find them so just wondered if anyone on here has come across them labeled as this before. quick description
they are about about an inch big, blue with black stripes. now i know this describes a lot of cichlids but i can't find a good match on goggle & want to find out if they are ok before i buy them. they look like mini convicts if that helps
thanks trace xx

Melanochromis Johanni. Big stab in the dark!

now if that blue with vertical black strips that go right down to the tail that would almost look like a bigger version of it. not unless the ones i have seen are juvies & thats why i can't find them :dunno:

Were there any fish of a different color in teh same tanka dn were they elongated like the one pictured above or more rounded?

There are several species often sold udner that name or given a variety name of 'ice blue'... Was it very light colored or quite vibrant like the fish pictured earlier in the thread? Were the stripes black or blue?

edit: I'm looking for some pics but, without a mroe detailed description, it's difficult.

Perhaps begin by looking at metriaclima estherae, metriaclima greshakei and labidochromis zebroides (which must have a different name now as it isn't listed on any of the cichlid sites I have in my favourites folder :p).
