I currently have the following in a 28 Gallon tank:

4 Platys
3 Cherry barbs
2 Kribs (Juveniles, Male is 2 Inches, female 1 and a half)
1 bristlenose (3 Inches)
2 German rams
3 Corys
2 peacock gobys (Juveniles less than 1 inch)

I was thinking of adding some gouramis or other anabatoids, any suggestions, I would like something a little more interesting than Honeys or dwarfs? Obviously I dont want anything too big.

Pearl qouramis are nice anabatoids! :) I have 4 and find them all very peaceful and i believe they have some of the most colourful and attractive displays of most fish!

Id go with 2 or 3 in your tank!

Your tank is fully stocked. If anything, add a couple more cories. Though pearl gouramies are wonderful fish and my favourite at that, they get to 5" and won't appreciate being put with crowded cichlids. If in future you rehome your kribs or change some of your stocking, maybe you can then consider more fish - gourami or otherwise. Right now, I'd stick with what you have - at least until all the fish you currently have are mature so you know how things will be as you need to be aware that aggression and crowdedness and bioload will all obviously increase as your juvenile fish approach maturity.
