What Am I Doing Wrong?

I have 3 convicts 2 female and 1 male in a 155lt tank with a good few hiding spots. When 1 female has fry the male does his bit and protects the kids but over the next fortnight the fry will disappear and the male will move to the other female to start the whole process again. I've lost 3 batches of fry this way. Most of my first batch survived and moved on to other homes but since then I've had no success. Any ideas?

Personally I'd remove one of the females, might just be to tempting for the male.
