I have been conditioning my bettas for 3 weeks and this is what has happened

1. Feeding bloodworms and brine shrimp

2. kept their tank close enough for them to see each other

3. male has built a huge bubble nest

4. female has eggs and has a prutruding stomach

5. flairing

6. put the pair together 10 minutes a day so they can grow fond of each other

7. both are old enough to breed and are healthy

so here is my problem when i put them together the female has noticed the nest the male flares at female right in front of her but she just swims away whenever he approches her

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

You Are doing nothing wrong. These things take time and patence. Give them time. There is no problem!
It took me 5 days to get my pair to spawn and they spawned at night so I never saw it  But my male did the same when I spawned. It is just natural

does your female have vertical bars?? if she is ready then she should have them. also try putting them together for the entire night. it can take them from afew minuts/hours to days for them to start spawning.

what will her vertical stripes look like? she is dark blue so will i be able to see them? she has one white-like horizontal bar across her

yes you will be able to see them on her. when it comes to lighter colored fish is when you wont see them. the stripes will look something like this

I think I have seen that on her but unfortunately he started biting her alot after i put her in for two days so letting her recover and maybe try another time but i will use her recover time for conditioning. I always keep them both at view of each other
