How much longer till fry drops?

She's got another week at least; probably nearer two. You'll know when she's due in the next couple of days when she 'squares off' (her belly will get distinct 'corners' and look more cube shaped).

Incidentally, I hope you're not keeping her in a bare tank; as well as being stressful for her, which could cause her to miscarry or even absorb her fry, a bare tank will make it much easier for her to eat the fry when she drops. Add some cheap, stem plants, like cabomba or elodea, or a clump of Java moss, and she'll be much happier and the fry will have hiding places (and a food supply) :good:

Well in the main tank I have 2 males that keeps following her around and competing for her. So that's why i moved her.

Fair enough; the males are terribly persistant! Do get some kind of cover in there for her though; even plastic plants would do :)

Yeah; I meant in the tank she's in now mate :)

+1. can you not put a few things from your main tank in there? i reckon as soon as she drops her fry she'll be hungary and with the fry having nowhere to go at all it'll be a wasted exercise you moving her at all mate. whats your male to female ratio? i never have problems with the males chasing females. due to the last lot of fry now being in the main tank i have a ratio of around 1 male to 4 female though.

If you want lots of fry to survive, make sure you provide lots of dense cover. I like to use java moss like this but many other fine leaved plants would work well.
