We've officially had our first casualty since setting up the tank. One of our MM platies developed some wierd humpback condition and finally died last night. I'm not sure exactly what was the cause. I noticed it a few days earlier. She was very thin and her rear half was angled from her front half. Another almost identical platy (bought at the same time about 1 1/2 months ago) is fine. Any ideas on what could cause that? All the other fish are fine (knock on wood) and the water conditions are good.

The funeral service was held at the great porcelain alter this morning with the faint sound of taps being played in the background.

Thanks in advance!

Aww, I'm so sorry about your fish! :rip: little girl.

Of the symptoms you listed, I'm thinking maybe Fish TB. :/

Thanks for the replies! I just read up on it but I couldn't find any pictures of infected fish just to be certain so I'm kind of wondering what I do now? Should I just keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

OK. It sounds like TB is the winner. I guess it's just wait and see from here on out. Nothing much else I can do I guess...

Thanks again for all you help!
