Hi all,

Ever since I switched to this 60 litre tank I have wet patches on the back when I lift the lid etc.

Theres no hinges, so I have to lift it right off if I want to access the back of the tank for cleaning etc.

Is the air not getting evaporating out enough? If I drilled holes in the sides would this help much? The only ventilation is two open bits at the back for leads, its maybe 2 inch squares on each corner.

Any help to get this stopped would be much appreciated. Its a bit of an eye sore.

Stick your background on with Seaview gel (or olive oil) so no water can get between the backround and the glass.

As for stopping the drip in the first place, not too sure sorry.

The same thing happened to me on an old tank I had, I used olive oil, done the trick.

Same thing happens on my tank when I am not careful taking the lid off....to solve it I stick a long ruler in from the side (only the top and bottom are fastened down) and just prise the background off the tank wall.
Not an ideal solution but it does the trick :good:
