went to p@h in straighton edin and got a shock. they have had the fish section totaly ripped out and replaced with a whole new set up. all fish looked happy and healty. bettas had there own little tanks with no other fish. and the biggest shock was the shop ###### were talking bout fishless cycling. i was being nosey and listening to other ppls convos. was very surprised. it looked realy good i atcualy was jealous it look so good i wanted it all for myself

God,I hope they move onto Falkirk soon,there's dead or dying fish in nearly every tank.

i was in thatt one in march and some of the tanks were dire couldn't really see the fish to half of the lights in the tank not working ...But maybe that was a good thing seeing as the ones that did have working lights were algae ridden and you couldn't actually make out what was in them only thing that did look good was all there display tanks!

Defo be takin a wee trip down there soon

I'd agree there,and wonder if central filtration in the main set up is the problem?

Kizz,if you get a chance back in Falkirk,there's a place called Trade Aquatics in Camelon,I've bought a few fish there recently and had no issues at all.Prices are the best in the area and the couple that run it are really nice and seem to know a lot about their fish.

yeah they were bad. its 5 min from my work so i pop in for frozen food and such. but i cant help but have a look in the tanks

Yep, Trade Aquatics are pretty good, everything I have got from them have been healthy.

Cool another road trip for me and my mum...She's my mode of transportation til i pull finger out my butt and do ma test She says it bores her but she still takes me

There's one called The Aquarium at Bankside Industrial Estate in Falkirk,nightmare to find,fish can be hit or miss,tank care slightly dodgy,ie,lots of Oscars crammed together therefore lots of ripped to bits Oscars,few dead fish dotted about.
Having said that,I bought my honey dwarf gouramis there and they are doing great,breed constantly,no deaths or ilness.Buuuttt,I bought 5 veiltail ancistrus there,not cheap,and 4 were dead withing the week,one the same day.
Good prices for tanks and equipment.
