I came back from Disneyland Paris yesterday. Before I went, I asked my older sister who wasn't going, to look after my two fish tanks. I gave her very specific instructions, including they have to have a set amount of light per day. So I went trtting off on holiday, and I asked my sis about my fish when I got back, and it turned out she got up specially at 8 am each morning to turn the fishtanks on! Bless her.

thats one cool sis you got there

mine is a bit more random than that - she visited recently and was tapping on the glass to make them move more :-( and the amount of food she put in when I let her feed them was unbelievable!! Gravel vac was out that night to tidy up. I feed Promin which will polute real quickly if overfed.

The really sad bit............my sis is 32!!!

That's great you have someone to depend on. I wish I could say the same. Did you ever think of putting your lights on a timer? That would be an option if you didn't have sis to depend on at some point in the future. Cavafish, I had the same problem with my wife overfeeding when I went out of town for a few days. The next time I left I put the daily rations in those tiny plastic dosage cups they use in the hospitals to give medicines. It worked like a charm and I suppose any small containers would work as well.

An easy way to measure food would be to use a tea spoon. Tell them to put 1/2 a teaspoon of flakes in per day. :p
