Well..she Was Pregnant..doesnt Look Preg Now..

Well my female guppy was very pregnant. Looked like she was about to explode (like I do atm, thats because I am about to in 3 weeks lol) and last night she was looking very pregnant, I even said to my hubby "god she is so fat, she is going to explode" and this morning, well she is looking very thin, like she is not pregnant anymore, but I cant find fry anywhere..

I have had batches of fry in the past (not from this girl though) and they were clearly visible, but I have moved the plants, studied the tank for ages, and I cant see any.

Could they have been eaten overnight?

I have a blue ram and neons, would they be responsible.

The males are now following her around and harassing her like crazy. I guess they are wanting to impregnant her again.

I have 7 so far. They are so transparent.

I'm going to put my hand in their soon and move some plants and see how many more I can find.

But yes I think someone has had a nice meal of fry o/n

Well at least you found some, better than nothing, but yes neons love baby fish and a ram would pick off the ones hiding areound the bottom.

hi, i have got the same problem as you, one of my platys have just had fry sometime in the last few days, but i have only found two so far, and one of those was inside my external filter, i think my black neons had a very nice snack, ah well thats life lol


Oh and good like in finding your fry, if you have a exter nal filter i would check it.

my fry are very good hiders expressly if u have gravel. it might or either eaten or got rid of the pregnancy if it was stressed. not sure
