Well I got my tank set up and got it all cycled, travelled out a fair bit to see what I could get Betta wise - they had sold out of all the comb tails, and only had VT's left. There was about 5 totally red ones in the small cubes - few of them even had bubble nests. But two caught my eye that were in bags top of the tanks. I eventually went for

He looks all blue, but he is about 3 different colours on him, and depending on how the light hits him he looks a little purple.

As of yet no name. He loves playing in the current. He is swimming right up into it and then dive bombing pretty much mm's from he gravel. He also likes his bogwood. He is liking sitting behind the wood and peeking out the side - but that may change when the plants arrive. I know I should have probably waited for the plants first, but I just couldn't resist. He seems pretty nosey too, I think he was trying to stare my dog down earlier!

he looks loverly hopeing to breed them when get me new house wife dont know but no harm done when she comes in from work to find a few tanks with bettas in :hyper: :hyper:

I'm just glad that he seems to have settled in pretty much straight away - mind you he is probably thankful for a bigger space to swim in. Quite funny when I bought him, he had a seatbelt on on the way home!

Thanks Stang! :)

I intend to HODDY - I haven't had a Beta for a few years, so I am ejoying watching him swin around. He's taking food fine too, so he can't have been too stressed by the move.

Awww.. he's a total cutie and sounds like he has one heck of a cute personality too! :good:

I've named him Draven.

I will get a pic of the tank when it's all planted up :)

I noticed yesterday when I got him home that he has a little wite spot on his dorsal fin, couldn't figure out if t was just part of his colouring but the more I look at it the more I think it might be white spot, so I will be treating him - I would post a picture, but everyone I have taken of that area you can't see it. He's happy in himself, no problems eating or anything and still dive bombing the gravel.

Looks like you will be waiting longer to see a picture of the tank as the post has just been and no plants.

I could be wrong about the white spot - I managed to get a photo from the little poser. Opinions?

He sounds nice. I love his colors. He looks like the active type of Betta. Unlike my VT who sits around and eats. lol
